The history of Real Estate

The last few years have been somewhat tougher in the real estate business than the few years before that, to say the least.  Many have left the business both brokers and sales licensees alike.  All of that, in spite of all the tools we have today to make our businesses easier.  But you and I have survived the downturn.  Ever wonder what the real estate business was like in the early days of the American real estate business? Here are some interesting facts that may make you appreciate what we have the capabilities to do in today’s real estate business.• In the late 19th century into the 20th, real estate brokers were called “Real Estate Men”. The real estate business was comprised of only men and there were virtually no women in the business until the 1960’s.  Being a man was the only requirement.  There were no real estate licenses until 1919. Are you  confusing a mailing list with relationships?

1. Geographic- talk about the community, hyper local content- check out www.Raillife.com
2. Demographic- hyper focused, check out Highheeledhomeowner.com
3. Market stats and local data

You can download videos on youtube and it’s really easy.

Podcasting is like doing radio online

Blog talk radio- you can call in by phone

The most effective would be a blend of all 3 of these.
